Introducing the D2M Team

The team:

Phil Staunton: Phil is the Managing Director of D2M. Since graduating with a first class degree in Industrial Design and Technology, Phil has frequently spoken at London Ideas21 events, regularly contributed to the UK IPO’s newsletter “IP Insight”, and helped design and prototype hundreds of new inventions. He is a member of the Institute of Patentees and Inventors, the United Inventor Association and the Institute of Engineering Designers.

Alex Lee: Alex is a Product Designer and has a passion for intelligent design. He has a wealth of product design consultancy and project management experience, along with a very good understanding of a broad range of manufacturing techniques.

Dave Massey: Dave Massey is a Design Engineer with over 20 years industrial experience and a first class honours degree in Product Design. With a passion, bordering on obsession, for all things mechanical and structural, he has been involved in creating a diverse range of artifacts including an award winning four wheeled bike.

Ashley Caddle Ashley, one of our Product Designers, achieved a first class honours degree in Product Design and Technology (BSc) from Loughborough University. During her time at university, Ashley developed several technical based products and also kitchen ware. Ashley has an excellent eye for detail and has previous industry experience in Mother and Baby products and innovative household products.

Robert Games: Robert is a Chartered European Patent Attorney, and has vast experience in his field. Amongst other roles, Robert worked for four years as a Patent Examiner at the UK Patent Office. He is a member of CIPA.

Katie Oliver: Katie is a European Trade Mark Attorney. She regularly attends ITMA and INTA conferences and is hugely knowledgeable in her field. Katie can deal with all Trade Marking aspects of the ‘design to market’ process.

Adrian Hocking: Adrian is a Chartered European Patent Attorney, having originally trained as a mechanical engineer. He has worked in Japan for 4 years and specialises particularly in functional mechanical product patents. He is a member of CIPA.
